Lead Hand

As a Lead Hand at Land Eleven Construction, your responsibilities are:

  • Delegating tasks to the team and overseeing the execution of the daily workplan

  • Assist in overseeing the construction of outdoor spaces, monitoring and training workers, and ensuring all crew members maintain a clean and safe worksite

  • Operating various power tools and equipment per job requirements

  • Follow instructions from site supervisor and assist in completing various administrative duties as required

  • Installation of hardscape features such as: concrete, unit pavers, retaining wall, and fencing

  • Installation of softscape features such as: planting, sod, and seed

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures and participate in the health and safety program

Lead Hand Requirements:

  • Must be reliable, honest, dedicated, hardworking, have attention to detail, be respectful of others, and must represent our company in a positive manner

  • Must communicate well, be a team player, and be comfortable working in outdoor environments and conditions

  • Minimum 3 years of experience

  • Knowledge of equipment such as excavators and skid steers

  • Knowledge of excavation and aggregate preparation techniques

  • Demonstrated experience with site layout and grade control

  • Experience operating power tools and other equipment required for landscape construction

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from work

  • Graduate of a Landscape Technician program considered an asset

Equipment Operator

As an Equipment Operator at Land Eleven Construction, you are responsible for the execution of the daily work plan per the direction of the site supervisor. Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintaining a clean and safe worksite

  • Conducting daily pre-operational inspections on equipment and tools

  • Cleaning, lubricating, and refilling equipment as required, and notifying shop of regular maintenance and repair requirements

  • Operating various heavy equipment per job and manufacturer requirements including skid steers, excavators, mobile cranes, etc.

  • Operating various power tools and equipment per job requirements

  • Ensuring all activities are carried out with due regard to personal safety, and the safety of others

  • Following instructions from site supervisor and assist in completing various administrative duties as required

  • Complying with all company policies and procedures and participating in the health and safety program

 

Equipment Operator Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years experience operating various sizes of heavy equipment including excavators, skid steers, etc.

  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance and conducting proper pre-use inspections.

  • Trench awareness and confined space entry

  • Have a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude towards all customers, suppliers, and all employees

  • Able to work in various working conditions (outdoor, off-site locations, etc.)

  • Hoisting and rigging, digging foundations, and backfilling experience considered an asset.

  • Knowledge of excavation and aggregate preparation techniques

  • Demonstrated experience with site layout and grade control

  • Experience operating power tools and other equipment required for landscape construction

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from work

  • Graduate of a Landscape Technician program considered an asset

As a Labourer at Land Eleven Construction, your responsibilities are:

  • Execution of the daily work plan

  • Maintaining a clean and safe worksite

  • Operating various power tools and equipment per job requirements

  • Follow instructions from site supervisor and assist in completing various administrative duties as required

  • Installation of hardscape features such as: concrete, unit pavers, retaining walls and site servicing components

  • Installation of softscape features such as: planting, sod, and seed

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures and participate in the health and safety program
