Ed Broadbent Waterfront Park
Ed Broadbent Park highlights a large open air bandshell to host public events surrounded by walking paths, gardens, and green space.
Located in the harbour in the City of Oshawa, Ontario, Ed Broadbent Park has been dedicated to Mr. Broadbent who was a human rights activist and leader of federal party 1975-1989. The park was designed to implement a passive recreation space that included walking paths, parking area, green space, rock outcrops, stadium seating, and a large open air bandshell to host public events.
The Garden of Human Rights was designed as a central landscape feature which included many landscape embellishments including seat walls, unit pavers on concrete bases, irrigated planted zones and an elevated stage.
